Jeju Golf Group Operations Guide for 8–40 People: Course Selection, Grouping, Travel Routes
For group rounds, hole count and travel time govern the whole itinerary more than course difficulty does. We have laid out which courses suit which group siz…

Group rounds require checking headcount, pairings, the holes actually booked, tee times and transfers together. Total facility hole counts in this guide describe venue size; they do not guarantee group capacity or simultaneous starts.
Check headcount and tee times for each group first
With four players per group, 8 players make 2 groups, 20 make 5 and 40 make 10. Confirm permitted group sizes and each group's start time with the course.
A facility total of 18, 27 or 36 holes describes venue size. Confirm the holes actually booked, the playing course, tee times for each group and the starting format separately.
Decide whether to use one venue or several after checking confirmed headcount, available tee times and transfer arrangements. Total facility holes alone cannot establish waiting times or group capacity.
- Total facility holes: 36 holes: Elysian Jeju CC (Aewol-eup, Jeju-si), Golfzon County Ora (Oranam-ro, Jeju-si)
- Total facility holes: 27 holes: Everis Golf Resort (Aewol-eup, Jeju-si), Lahenne CC (Bonggae-dong, Jeju-si)
- Total facility holes: 18 holes: The Siena Jeju Country Club (Yeongpyeong-dong, Jeju-si)

Set the first and last days by distance from the airport
The points where group itineraries most often fall apart are the arrival day and the departure day. The larger the party, the longer baggage claim and gathering at the vehicles take, so it is safer to place a course near the airport on those two days.
Golfzon County Ora is about 15 minutes by car from Jeju International Airport, and being on the south side of downtown Jeju, it pairs well with hotel stays and rounds. Elysian Jeju CC is about 20 minutes, Everis Golf Resort and Lahenne CC about 25 minutes, and The Siena Jeju Country Club about 30 minutes.
Everis Golf Resort is cited as a strong choice because there is little time pressure either for a round right after arrival or for departing after the final day's round. Conversely, The Siena Jeju Country Club has one of the longest travel times, so it fits best on a day in the middle of the itinerary that can be given over entirely to it.

Pairings and course order for groups with a wide skill gap
Groups of 8–40 often mix players with 20 years of experience and beginners in their first year. If pairings are cut strictly by skill, the later groups move noticeably slower; if they are mixed at random, score-related stress sets in. In practice, placing one experienced player in each group to keep play moving and grouping the rest at similar levels works well.
Course order follows the same principle. Put a less demanding course on the first day and place the harder course after everyone has loosened up. Everis Golf Resort is not especially difficult, is on the shorter side, and has good course visibility, so tee shots and approaches to the green are rated as not difficult — which suits a first day that includes beginners.
Elysian Jeju CC is likewise described as short with wide fairways and not high in difficulty, but many reviews note that the greens have considerable slope and putting was not easy. If your group values pace of play over score, bear in mind that putting can add time. Lahenne CC is described as beautiful but a very difficult course, so it suits teams of even experience or the later part of an itinerary.

- Teams that want wide fairways but some separation on the greens: Elysian Jeju CC
- Teams that want a challenging course: Lahenne CC

The season changes the course: wind, elevation, grass
The variable that shakes up group itineraries most on a Jeju round is wind. Elysian Jeju CC sits at 500 m of elevation, but the surrounding parasitic volcanic cones wrap around it like a folding screen, so the effect of strong wind is relatively small. For a group that includes players vulnerable to wind, this becomes a practical criterion.
For a midsummer itinerary, look at elevation. The Siena Jeju Country Club sits at 600 m, on the mid-slopes of Mt. Hallasan, so even in midsummer the temperature is about 5℃ lower than at other golf courses on Jeju. That said, reviews note heavy fog in spring and the rainy season, so if you plan to hold a group commemorative photo or an awards ceremony out on the course, it is wise to prepare an alternative.
For a winter itinerary, Lahenne CC comes into consideration. It is a course that puts the fact that it runs rounds even in midwinter front and center, and the grass is bentgrass. Grass type is directly tied to seasonal condition, so checking it before setting your dates helps.
- Elysian Jeju CC — 500 m elevation, cool-season imported grass; the surrounding parasitic volcanic cones block the wind
- Golfzon County Ora — 350 m elevation, Kentucky bluegrass on tees, Bermuda grass/ryegrass on fairways, and bentgrass on greens
- Lahenne CC — 400 m elevation, bentgrass
- The Siena Jeju Country Club — 600 m elevation, a mix of Korean lawngrass on the fairways, imported grass around the greens and in the rough, and bent greens
- Everis Golf Resort — Korean lawngrass, a rolling-hill course enfolded by Saebyeol Oreum, a parasitic volcanic cone

Vehicles and transfers: what to settle before the pairings
Eight people and 40 people call for completely different vehicle arrangements. The larger the party, the less possible it is to fit everyone in one vehicle, and once vehicles are split, distributing the golf bags and managing meeting points follow. If you align the round pairings with the vehicle units, transfers and tee-offs connect naturally.
Course location also affects vehicle routing. Elysian Jeju CC and Everis Golf Resort are both along Pyeonghwa-ro in Aewol-eup, Jeju-si, so keeping your accommodation on that side makes two days of travel simple. Golfzon County Ora is on the south side of downtown Jeju, which pairs well with staying at a city hotel.
Lahenne CC is in Bonggae-dong, Jeju-si, and The Siena Jeju Country Club is in Yeongpyeong-dong, Jeju-si — different directions. If your itinerary travels west one day and east the next, putting your accommodation in between or changing accommodation cuts travel time.

If you are planning a tournament-format round
When a group round is run as a tournament format with prizes, the character of the course is what makes the results convincing. Golfzon County Ora opened in July 1979, making it one of the oldest courses on Jeju, and it is a tournament course that hosted the KLPGA Jeju Samdasoo Masters for six consecutive years. Its layout follows the Yeongguchunhwa Valley of Mt. Hallasan and preserves the terrain as it is.
The Siena Jeju Country Club began construction in 1962 and first opened as a full 18-hole course in 1966 as Jeju Island's first golf course, and its distinguishing feature is that it has kept its earliest form by working with the original terrain. Its setting — the 600 m heights of Mt. Hallasan, with full-grown trees in view — suits events that leave commemorative photographs behind. A facility total of 18, 27 or 36 holes describes venue size. Confirm the holes actually booked, the playing course, tee times for each group and the starting format separately.
The more formal the round, the more the pairings, tee-off intervals, and scoring method need to be decided in advance. Course selection comes after that.

Who this is for
- Organizers preparing a company workshop, a club's regular match, or an association event for 8 to 40 people, who have to settle the course combination and the travel routing together
- The coordinator weighing pairings and the ordering of course difficulty because players with widely differing experience and ability all have to fit into one itinerary
- Teams looking to attach a round to the arrival day or the departure day and get through as many holes as possible within three days and two nights
- Repeat-visit groups that have to choose different courses by season because of summer heat, winter weather, or Jeju's wind
