Construction began in 1962 and the first full 18-hole course opened in 1966, this is Jeju Island's first golf course and a course from the dawn of golf course construction in Korea. It is distinctive for preserving the original terrain as it was and retaining its early form well, and because it sits where you can see the full-grown trees at the 600m level of Hallasan, the temperature is about 5℃ lower than at other golf courses on Jeju even in midsummer. On the other hand, there are reviews saying that fog was extremely heavy because it is on the mid-slopes of Hallasan, so the filming risk during the fog season (spring and the rainy season) must be taken into account.
